CLTC 901km/605km VOYAH's Brand New Medium-sized SUV VOYAH Zhiyin Made Its Debut

Recently, the 2024 Chengdu Auto Show kicked off, where VOYAH's brand new medium-sized SUV, VOYAH Zhiyin , made its debut and officially started pre-sales at a price range of RMB 209,900 to 266,900. VOYAH Zhiyin is built on the ESSA intelligent electric architecture and the all-domain 800V silicon carbide platform, offering two front face designs. Its global version will also be unveiled in mid-September.

In terms of exterior design, VOYAH Zhiyin adopts the familial "Kunpeng" design language, which offers two distinct front face styles while retaining the iconic through-type light strip and illuminated VOYAH logo. Additionally, VOYAH Zhiyin incorporates a dual-channel design at the front end, allowing air to flow in from beneath the headlights and exit through vents on the front engine hood. According to the official announcement, this design provides downforce for the vehicle, enhancing its stability.

VOYAH Zhiyin's side profile draws inspiration from the design details of the Voyah Chasing Light, featuring hidden door handles, frameless doors, and semi-enclosed wheel rims. At the rear, it sports a through-type light strip with an internal design similar to that of the Voyah Chasing Light, while the rear bumper incorporates a diffuser design. In terms of dimensions, VOYAH Zhiyin measures 4725mm in length, 1900mm in width, 1636mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2900mm.  Inside, VOYAH Zhiyin adopts a minimalist design style with a hidden instrument cluster that displays only basic driving information. Information during driving is primarily accessed through the AR-HUD head-up display, which also offers "augmented reality" display for more intuitive information presentation.

Equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8295 cockpit chip, VOYAH Zhiyin features a 15.05-inch OLED curved display that can slide towards the front passenger side. A hidden tray table is also provided above the front passenger glove box. Users can control the sliding of the center console screen, the deployment of the tray table, and the closing of the panoramic sunroof shade with a single button or individually.  VOYAH Zhiyin is equipped with a newly designed polygonal two-spoke steering wheel and a column-mounted shifter. The multimedia buttons on both sides are made of high-gloss material but are prone to fingerprints. The auxiliary instrument panel area includes a 50W maximum power wireless charging area with a soft rubber-like imitation leather texture for added grip.

The interior of VOYAH Zhiyin uses ample soft-touch materials, including baby-friendly materials for seats and steering wheel. The body-contact areas of the seats are wrapped in DINAMICA suede-like material. The driver and front passenger seats support 12-way and 8-way electric adjustment respectively, with position memory, ventilation, heating, and massage functions. The rear seats offer a 5-position, 10-degree adjustable backrest angle.  The official states that VOYAH Zhiyin's trunk has a capacity of 527 liters in its regular state, with an additional 72-liter storage space below. When the rear seats are folded down, the trunk capacity expands to 1328 liters. In terms of features, VOYAH Zhiyin will come with acoustic glass, 128-color stepless ambient lighting, hidden surface speakers, a panoramic sunroof, and a front-row rest mode.

Built on the 800V high-voltage SiC platform, detailed information about VOYAH Zhiyin's powertrain is not yet released by the official. However, according to previously disclosed Ministry of Industry and Information Technology filings, the vehicle's drive motor has a maximum power of 230 kW. For range, VOYAH Zhiyin offers two specifications of ternary lithium-ion battery packs with capacities of 79 kWh and 109 kWh, corresponding to CLTC driving ranges of 650 km and 901 km respectively.  In terms of charging, VOYAH Zhiyin supports a 5C charging rate with a peak charging power of up to 400 kW. According to the official, it takes only 10 minutes to charge the battery from 20% to 80%, and a 15-minute charge can add 515 km of driving range.
